OptalCP 2026.11.0 Release

This release brings position() to noOverlap with transition times, proves the exact optimum by default, and supports older Linux and .NET versions.

New

  • position() now works on noOverlap constraints with transition times.
  • New parameter noOverlapTransitionPropagationLevel controls the propagation of noOverlap with transition times. noOverlapPropagationLevel now applies only to noOverlap without them.
  • New parameters absoluteImprovementStep and relativeImprovementStep set how much better the next solution must be.
  • New SolverInfo gives the version and the edition of the solver.
  • relativeGapTolerance now defaults to 0, so the search proves the exact optimum. Some solves can take longer. Set it to 0.0001 for the previous behavior.
  • Performance improvements, for example in reservoir propagation.
  • Bug fixes in the solver and the APIs.

Platforms

  • Linux binaries now need glibc 2.28 or newer (previously 2.35).
  • The C# API now targets .NET 10 and .NET Standard 2.0 (previously .NET 9), so it also works on .NET Framework.

Command Line

  • optalcp now takes the model as a positional argument. The options --model and --cpo are removed, and the JSON protocol needs the new option --server.
